Arrow thouroughly analyzes gear requirements to determine the design, materials and manufacturing operations which will be required. Variables such as tooth loading, contact ratios, noise characteristics and life cycles are evaluated to develop an end product that matches specific performance characteristics.

Because costs are as important as performance, ARROW STOCK GEARS are first considered, and the customer is told whether a stock set, or a modified stock set will meet his requirements. When a custom design is indicated, it is often possible to use Arrow's own extensive stocks of tooling, so as to minimize cost.
