A rarity in the rubber industry....a true "color house"
Most colored rubber products come from custom molders that are primarily black rubber companies. Central is basically a colored rubber company. The difference is significant.
Any plant that primarily molds black rubber is, by nature, a grimy, sooty place. This is because carbon black (which makes black rubber black) is an ultrafine, lightweight powder. A slight eddy of air can send it swirling out of it's container and onto every surface and machine around. There's no way to prevent soot from infiltrating the compound. Result: yellows take on a greenish tint, light colors become darker, bright colors become greyed.
The central rubber plant, by contrast, is spanking clean. Our basic color...the one we run most often...happens to be yellow, which comes from a dye. On those occasions when we do run black, our carbon black is pre-mixed with resin so no dust can escape to begrime nearby machinery and taint batches of colored rubber.
Thus we are able to give you consistently clean, right-on-the-button matches of any color in the rainbow. In natural rubber or any elastomer. We are, in fact, one of a very few companies in the world capable of achieving a high degree of color quality and unifomity on a production basis. And we do it at a highly competitive price.
