Not only is Central Rubber a "color house", it's a high technology colorhouse, which is even more of a rarity in the rubber industry. We have special capabilities, in addition to accurate color matching, that allow us to handle...efficiently and economically...complex and/or close-tolerance work that most other rubber companies find too difficult or demanding.
Thanks to a combination of "state-of-the-art" technology and skilled personnel, we have the ability to mold parts with a very high degree of accuracy. If you have a rubber part that's "tricky" in it's design and tight in it's tolerances, it would pay you to call Central first.

Special bonding agents & equipment allow us to bond together different elastomer compounds or rubber to metal or plastic. |

|
We can offer you the services of some of the sharpest engineers and mold designers in the business; people who are long-experienced in solving "impossible" problems through special tooling or molds, or in formulating special rubber compounds...and we're one of the few companies in which bonding of one rubber compound to another or to metal or plastic is a routine process.

Using high-speed, precision equipment, we can grind rollers for data processors and other high-tech products to tolerance as close as + .001". |
| Each precision-ground roller is tested for uniform dimensional accuracy over its entire length. |
|
We also make a specialty of close-tolerance grinding of rubber. Typical examples are the rollers we produce for office copiers, sound equipment and cameras. As an example of what we can do, a major data processing equipment manufacturer recently was looking for a production source for a thin, flexible rubber "bumper" for the controls of their high-speed printing machine. The bumper had to be composed of two 14-inch long strips of different rubber compounds, one black and the other red, molded together within +.002", -.001" uniform tolerance along it's entire length.
Nearly 100 different rubber companies told this manufacturer that the design was impossible to produce. Finally they came to Central Rubber. Our answer was, "Yes, we can do it." We now turn these bumpers out precisely to specifications. And quite economically, it should be noted.
